Isoprocarb Smoke Generator

A fast-knockdown carbamate smoke generator for protected cultivation. Once ignited it releases a dense, persistent aerosol with both contact and fumigant action, knocking down aphids, whitefly, thrips and leafminer on cucumber, tomato, pepper, eggplant, strawberry and flowers – including the insects hiding inside curled leaves and flower buds.

Mode of action

Isoprocarb inhibits acetylcholinesterase at the nerve synapse. Acetylcholine accumulates, nerve impulses fire continuously, and the insect goes through excitation, convulsion, paralysis and death. The carbamate-enzyme complex is reversible, which gives a faster recovery margin than organophosphates, while the smoke route adds a genuine fumigant effect through the insect respiratory system – so pests are hit through contact and through breathing at the same time.
